iOS – Enabling GPS on iPhone, iPad

In order to use “Find My Location” on your application, you must have given GPS access to the application.

  1. Locate the “Settings” icon on your device (if you cannot find it, press the Home button twice and search for “settings” )
  2. Tap on “General” (when the iPad Settings screen loads, “General” preferences will be automatically selected)
  3. Tap “Location Services”
  4. Make sure Location Settings are turned On
You have a “Location Services” entry, which contains an On/Off switch, enabled by default (set to “On“)
Make sure Location Settings are turned ON for your specific application
  5. Scroll down to the application you are trying to access and make sure the Location Services for that particular application are set to on

NOTE: If your device is using Wi-Fi (internet service) as opposed to a mobile connection, your GPS location will most likely be the location of your internet service, because it is unable to triangulate your wireless signal.
