iOS – Enabling GPS on iPhone, iPad
In order to use “Find My Location” on your application, you must have given GPS access to the application.
- Locate the “Settings” icon on your device (if you cannot find it, press the Home button twice and search for “settings” )
- Tap on “General” (when the iPad Settings screen loads, “General” preferences will be automatically selected)
- Tap “Location Services”
- Make sure Location Settings are turned On
You have a “Location Services” entry, which contains an On/Off switch, enabled by default (set to “On“)
Make sure Location Settings are turned ON for your specific application - Scroll down to the application you are trying to access and make sure the Location Services for that particular application are set to on
NOTE: If your device is using Wi-Fi (internet service) as opposed to a mobile connection, your GPS location will most likely be the location of your internet service, because it is unable to triangulate your wireless signal.
